Mark your calendars to help Sleepy Creek Watershed Association with one of our largest tree plantings to date on Saturday, May 16, 2015. In partnership with the Eastern Panhandle Conservation District and the West Virginia Department of Forestry, we will plant over 400
trees and shrubs in the Old Mill Manor subdivision. To get there, take 522 to Winchester grade road, go left at Autumn Acres Road (just before the big right hand turn) and stay to the right as it turns into Johnsons Mill Road, cross over small bridge and take first right into Old Mill Manor. Park immediately to the left as you enter the subdivision. Since this is an ambitious project, we need as many helping hands as possible. (It’s fun for the whole family.) The planting will take place between 9 AM and 4 PM with lunch being
provided to all participants. Wear appropriate clothes for outdoor work and bring along a
shovel, personal water bottle, and small gardening tools if you have them. Gloves will be
provided. Please call Suzy Lucas at 304-263-4376, extension 3, not later than May 14, 2015 to
register and reserve your lunch. We hope to see you there!
Come join us for a fun day of tree planting!
